How do you download stuff to your playstaion3? and then install it on the playstaion 3?

Go to the PS Store icon under Network and hit X.

You can then browse throuhg the section looking for games,demos add ons et cetera and the select them and select "Download"



You will then download an installation pack which willl save under GAme on the PS3 menu bar and then you hit X over that and it will install.



Don't forget to choose a best answer.

To download stuff on the PS3, go to the PSN store and select something you wish to download, if you have credit for the PSN select what you wnat and select add to cart or buy now (I think those are the options, it's been a while since was on the PSN store), it will then download the Game menu



To install, select the item you downloaded and choose install

games, demos, game videos, and game add ons are done from the playstation store. find what you want, press X and start downloading. games and demos will show up in the game column of the XMB in a "bubble". hit X to install.



if you to want import music, movies or pictures, you can stream them from your pc with a free media server like TVersity. Media Player 11 will stream music, but i had problems with movies and could not stream any at all.



some videos can be saved to your hard drive from the browser by hitting triangle on the video you want, selecting file, then save to, then selecting the video icon. pictures are done by selecting the picture, file, save image, then selecting the picture icon.



you can also import media from your pc by saving it to a compact flash, memory stick, sd card, usb, etc. make a folder on the storage device called "PS3". inside that make folders labeled "MUSIC", "VIDEO", or "PICTURE" (no quotes and all caps) and save the media in the appropriate folders. insert the storage device in the ps3, find your media and press triangle, then select copy. remember that videos need to be in mp4 format.
