Is my ps2 broken?

May be...

i like to try and play dvds in it, but the sound doesnt work! any thoughts?

it might be the start of the breaking of your ps2 cause that happend to me, the dvd pack ruins the ps2 or check the settings, but if all the settigs are okay then its the ps2, if it is the case just play games, thats what its really for

it may be your tv cable that u have the ps2 hooked into your tv

Well,check the setting,on the ps2.If it doesent work,its broken.
