Should I get a new PS2?

May be...
  • So I've had my PS2 Since X-Mas 2003 I have about 70-80 Games. I bought Rockband for the big price for $160 And guess what? It doesnt work. All my older games work, But my newer Games (Such as GH3 and RockBand) Wont work. My dad took it out and cleaned it (Before this we had to clean it 1 or 2 times a month) Put it back together, Popped in Rock Band and it went straight to the "Browser and System Configuration" Screen. Should I get a New PS2 or what?
  • There might be something wrong with the game.try it in a different ps2 and if it dosent work take it back. can you go answer my newest question about a memory card
  • wait till they come out with the new 80gb ps3 and get that!
  • just get a ps3
  • the ps2 is outdated now, honestly there's no use on getting another one.

the ps3 is rather expensive (compared to other alternatives)

you could try getting a wii, something new for a change :)

the x360 is viable, i suppose, since it's cheaper than the PS3.

you COULD upgrade your pc, i suppose, in the same price of a x360 or ps3? ofc, it has it's own drawbacks (outdates quickly) despite it's benefits (multiple use, CRYSIS, Oblivion!!!)
  • Get a wii, they are a lot cooler.
  • i suggest you get the 360,wii`s now are rare and expensive to find(not to mention the price of the games sold for wii),360 is not that rare and i bet you can get it a a cheap price. i suggest you get it from bestbuy, though. they have the 360 and controllers, head phones ect. for the Xbox 360.
  • Just buy a ps3
  • I had a similar problem with mine, when GTA San Andreas came out. Most of the older ps2's can't read double layered discs. I don't know if rock band is double layered or not but if every other game works I'd assume so. Also I'm assuming your getting "Disc Read Error".
