Charging PS3 controllers??

May be...
  • Can you charge your PS3 controller when your PS3 is in "standby" mode, or does it have to be on?

Also, can you charge your PS3 controller using your PC??

One more, are there any other ways of charging your PS3 controller???
  • No, you can not charge the controllers while the PS3 is in standby. The PS3 must be on.

Yes, you can use your PC to charge your controllers. Just use the USB cord that came with it.

Yes there is another way to charge them. You can purchase a charging dock like this one: http://www.nyko.com/nyko/products/?i=128

I don't recommend buying that, however, since your PC will do. There is no need to spend the money unless you absolutely must have it.
  • Yea just charge them on the pc as most people leave their pc's on all their time but not their PS3. You can even use it as a gaming controller on your pc while it's hooked up. It's really stupid how the ps3 has to be for them to charge in my opinion.

I had a phone that used a mini usb to charge and I had a wall charger for it- I tried to plug it into my ps3 controller though it didn't work. Would have been cool if it did.... not sure why it didn't work... I'm rambling now...
