PS3 not responding?

May be...

When i click the power on button the ps3 does not turn on but there is a red light, on the controller there are 4 red lights flashing, recently i installed some hd tv thing after it which is today it dsn't seem to work?

Try turning it on buy the power button. make sure the main power switch is on in the back. then hit the button next to the eject button. maybe your controller isn't in sync with the PS3. if it's your first time using it, hook it up to your PS3 with the usb cable. if that's not the case, just turn it on manually, then turn the controller on, it'll sync up, if you've already used it before.
