How can I fix my old PS2?

May be...

my disc tray wont open and i pulled out the white tape thing that connects the reset button to the PS2. please help me know where the tape goes and how i can open my disc tray



P.S. I've already pried out the tray, there is nothing lodged in it from stopping the tray from opening and closing except the disc reader which comes up when i push the tray in only half way, please help me

If you want to spend money to fix it i think you can go to game stop or cd tradepost and get it fixed.

ok do this when you turn on your ps2 press the open button then soon as it comes out hold it and then pull and it should come out





2nd :

take it apart just the face plate but dont touch the mother board cause you may damage it.

so as i said take off the plate and then look at the tray and whatever the problem is im pretty sure you can see what it is.
