How do you get updates or upgrades on a ps3?

Could you do it on the ps3 itself or do you have to go on the internet!And is it Free?

There are two ways.



With your ps3 hooked up to the internet choose system update in the menu system. That's free.



Often updates will be included with new game disks. Also free except for the cost of the game.

You can either use the PS3 to d/l the update or you can go online to the PS website and d/l to a USB card and use that to install the update.
