My Playstation 3 has a failure on the dns server it ownt connect wirelessly.?

May be...
  • When I do wireless on my ps3 which normally works, now it won't conect. I have a router, with 100% connection, but its not connecting to the internet.
  • If you have a DNS error it's not in the PS3. The DNS (Dynamic Naming Service) is provided by your ISP (Internet Service Provider). If you have a wireless PC, can that one connect to the internet?

Check the network settings in your modem/router and PS3 to see everything is alright. If possible use DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) to distribute the IP adresses in your network, that way it's harder to make errors in configuration.

To set up DHCP consult your modem/routers manual.
  • go to internet settings on ps3 and for dns enter 192.168.1.1

worked when i had the same problem, hope it works Report It
  • with wireless sometimes it won't connect right away. just try like 2-3 times and it should connect
  • omg, it ownt? i feel sorry for "connect wirelessly"
