Online question (ps3)?

i got a ps3 but my friend doesn't and i can play online, and i was wondering if i get other ps3 controll can we both play online in the same ps3 and in the same room (only one ps3) please answer and thank you to who ever does answer the question

Some games on the PS3 support split screen gaming. If the game you want to play does, then it would require a second controller, but only one game console. Other titles have multilayer capabilities that require each gamer have their own console. its really dependent on the title.

Games like Haze online yes you and your friend can both play online from the same console in unranked games.
