PS2 Disc Swap Help!!!?

Hy i modded my ps2 slim.....i did the tape and tissue mod.....so i take star wars battlefront 2 and wait for the ps2 logo i switch the game with my burned god of war game and put it in it just stays on a black screen i let it sit there for at least 5 minutes and nothing......PLEASE HELP!!!!!
