What is the best HDMI cord with the best value for my PS3?

May be...
  • I just got a PS3 and realized I needed to buy the HDMI cord separately. Where did you get yours and how much did it cost? If it wasn't the Sony one, please tell me what kind of quality issues you did (or did not) experience.
  • Here is a good HDMI cable for $1.88 on Amazon.com. I have this since Xmas 2006 and had no problems. Very cheap, sturdy cable that displays 1080p HD graphics.

You dont need to spend $100 or so on an expensive, gold plated, high-end, crystal clear, superflex, alienware HDMI cable because the picture quality will always be the same.

HDMI signal is digital. 1's and 0's travel through the wire or they dont, simple as that. Any cable can do this. Gold plates wont help anything. Gold plated cables help SCART leads because there signal is analogue.
  • Just to let you know, they've done tests to see if the quality looks any better when using a higher priced cable, than a cheap one, and they found that the picture looks the same, so you may as well get one of the cheapest you can find.

I have a £15 one ($30) and the picture looks perfect, no problems or anything. I don't have a link since it's off a UK website, but now you know you can look for a budget one that will do the job just as well :)
  • You guys are wasting money on HDMI cables.

I provided a link in my sources to show you that cheap ones do the same thing.

The best place to get a HDMI cable is on monoprice.com

You can get cables under 10 dollars with shipping.

Yes, that's very cheap, and it distributes the same digital image/audio.
  • got it included in a deal off of craigslist but here is one and the one i have i love so it is not about the brand it is backordered but call gamestop and ask if they have it in stock so just click on the link
  • I got my form Circuit city for $100 dollars and tax
  • i got mine at wal-mart for $40 it is a premium SONY brand too.
