What do I do if a ps3 game has different HD video outputs?

May be...
  • Well, I don't know what to do. Like I have the game, Grand Theft Auto IV and this game has 3 different HD video outputs and there 720p, 1080i, and 1080p. Do I have to choose all 3 outputs, 2 of them outputs, or I can choose 1 of them 3 on the video output screen. Can anybody help me.
  • I assume your getting this info off the back of the case, bascially its the resolutoins supproted by the gmae.

the PS3 will automaticaly use the highest resoluiotn your TV can support,if you use a hdmi cabel it can go upto 1080p.

so basically you don't need to change the seetings of the resoluiotn, if you cna only supprot 720 it will only use 720, if you cna support upto 1080p it wil only use 1080p. not all three.
  • if yo are using hdmi you will auotomatcaly get the highest supported by your tv. if using commponent you will get up to 1080i if your tv can support it. if using av or s video you will get 480p. you cant get all three
  • you should check out this site where you can get a playstation 3 for free (hey, that rhymes!)
  • choose all of them .. it will automaticly choose the best one for your tv...
