For the money, PS3 vs. XBOX 360?

PS3, It comes with blu ray, wifi capability, free internet, If you cant efford another controller and you have a PC gamepad, It uses normal HDMI cables wich are about 15$, It comes with 80 gigs.

HD DVD drive 50$(not nearly as good as blu ray)

1.2 HDMI cable 60$ (not as good as 1.3 which ps3 has)

XBOX live 50$ (It's about the same as the PSN)

PS3 80 gig (after the price cut thats coming)400$

Don't forget that they don't make HD DVDs anymore only blu rays, and the xbox live is 50$ every year, also think about the fact you you pay 490$ to get an xbox with almost as good features as ps3 and you still only have 20gigs.

by the way, xbox 360 does not have an actual HD playback because HD-DVD lost the format war... so no new movies are coming out on HD-DVD. if you want to watch HD-DVD then you would have to buy an HD-DVD drive add-on...

Why are Xbox 360 people so freakin' mad all the time. All the time it's PS3 sucks, blah blah blah. Do you ever hear PS3 people saying 360 sucks, No.



The 360 is a fine system. It is a simple fact though that the PS3 is far more powerfull.



The PS3 also has wifi, Bluray, a larger HDD, it upconverts DVD. It is true that the 360 game library is larger but the PS3 has been out half of the time that the Xbox has.



The 360 is taxed. Developers cannot squeeze anything more out of it. The PS3's capabilities have yet to be tested though.



If you buy all of the add-ons for the 360 that the PS3 comes with you will be spending much more money.



Did I mention that it's a freakin' Bluray player?



The PS3 will be the dominant system next year, mark my words. And why is it so expensive? Because it is a top of the line media hub.



You get what you pay for.

Ya know, what's the point of this question? You put it in the Playstation section, so you're bound to get a lot of "PS3" answers.



The PS3 is worth more for your money, not only do you get to play online for free, but a PS3 is like a game console and Blu Ray player in one, not to mention built in Wi-Fi, and the ability to upscale your old DVDs as well.



To Mr X 297, you're obviously another 360 fanboy who has never played on a PS3, because not only does the PS3 have more variety of games, but better games as well.



Sure you got Halo 3 and Gears of War, we have Metal Gear Solid 4, Uncharted Drake's Fortune, Siren:Blood Curse, Ratchet and Clank, Warhawk, Resistance, Gran Turismo 5, and so on. Sure you got a hold of FF13, did I mention the ones that are remaing exclusive? Resistance 2, inFamous, LittleBig Planet, Afrika, Heavy Rain, God of War 3, etc?



Heck, I bet the closest you ever got to playing a PS3 was playing the one on display at a retail store so you could say "I played on a PS3, so u cant say I'm biased, lol"

For the price, I say Xbox 360. However, when you buy all of the accessories for the Xbox 360, that the PS3 comes with, it kind of evens out. Just look at the game selections for each console. Best way to decide.

You get the most out of your money with the PS3, as the PS3 will last you a good 8 years from now. 360 dies in about 2 years, but it's still good.

XBOX 360!!!!!!! its way better in all ways especially games plus ps3 sucks.

but do the math you spend 60 dollars on xbox live a year which online is free on ps3
