What is it and how do you get it?

The Cross Media Bar or XMB Is the PS3s main menu.



Cross because the columns and rows cross like-> +

Media because it can launch Phtos, Music, Videos, games and more.

Bar because its made of bars [across and up]



Its spelt with an X to look fancy because an X is a cross.

the XrossMediaBar is called hte XMB for short, and the PS3 has that OS standard. every PS3 has it. This is where you get all your media wehn you turn on your PS3. You know, games, pictures, music, video, friends list, playstation network, downloading games, web browser ETC.

It's just the PS3 main menu. It is also on other Sony products like PSP.

its the home menu when you first start up the PS3. it has the wavy line going across
