What are the advantages and disadvantages of a playstation?

Hi guys! I need to write a 500-word essay on the above topic and would appreciate any points that you have to offer...please help!!

Advantage:



It's got a Blu-Ray drive, which thanks to console firmware updates will be the most updated and best Blu-Ray player on the market.



The fact it uses Blu-Ray, bigger space for more content, better graphics and better audio.



Playstation Network. Being able to download demos, wallpapers, trailers and things like that without having to subscribe or pay for it. Unlike Xbox Live, all PS3's can do the same stuff online and you don't need to pay just for extra features.



It doesn't use a point system. Paying for things by points (with XBL and the Wii Shop) can easily be be overpaying for something. It's easier to buy something for £5 rather than paying for something for like 800 points and realising you paid £7.50 for something (just an example, I have no idea if 800 points means 7.50 for any points system).



Added media support (for america at the moment) so it means you can download movie and television shows (like the PS3 version of Itunes)



It's got built in wifi.



It's got the ability to run the Linux OS so it can double as a PC, but thanks to the console being able to run different sorts of media it's also a complete media player.



It's being turned into the PlayTV device, with the ability to play games while the console records television, or watch one television show while another records. (UK and Australia only at the moment)



PSP connectivity. Allows the PSP to interact with some games, but also allows remote access to your PS3 from anywhere and also thanks to the PlayTV device you'd be able to watch live and recorded TV (by remotely accessing your PSP).



Folding@home allows the PS3 to help work on learning how diseases work so cures can be found, so any PS3 can be turned into a part of a bigger chain that creates essentially a super computer.



Cons:



It's expensive.



Sony's inconsistency with keeping a single model on the market, but constanly working around finding ways to make the console cheaper to make but without actually dropping the price (so they limit the loss they get from each sold).



No backwards compatibility. Sony seem more interested in keeping the PS2 on the market in what seems to be an excuse not to give PS3's PS2 playback.



No PSN Prepaid cards. They are extremely hard to get so if you don't have a credit card you can't buy anything.

Why dont you just list everything you like about the PlayStation as far as the Blu Ray, Blue Tooth, WiFi, Free Network, the Home that is supposed to come out every quater and hasnt yet, how the launch price was pretty steep at the beginning. After you do all of that start writing a very long paragraph about each thing you have listed talk enough BS and you will have your 500 words.



Its kinda hard to think of a lot of disadvantages of it.

1. PS3 graphics have been proven to be sharper than Xbox 360 and Wii.



2. PS3 does not have a large amount of games, like Xbox 360 does.



3. PS3 does not seem to suffer from any hardware malfunctions, like the Xbox 360 has.



4. PS3 is a lot heavier than the Xbox 360



5. The PS3 does not overheat, and can be left on for a large amount of time.
