PS3 - Call of Duty 4 (COD4) - how do you turn off those annoying voices ?

Does anyone know how to mute the sounds made by people using microphones. I don't want to mute any other game sounds just the ones coming from other players.



Anyone know if COD5 has the same problem ?

While in game, press the select button to bring up the list of players. Highlight the persons name you want to mute, and press X. Any person who is using a Mic, will have the little icon beside their name. Not sure about COD5

yeah it does ruin the game and the first answer is the correct one on here. You can't mute at all times only during game play. When you are waiting for a game to start you will just have to mute your tv if it gets out of hand. good luck to you.

its so easy all u do is press select then go to that player and press mute i know some ppl buy crappy mics and there is so much distortion

You just mute the players. It isn't a problem. Part of playing online is talking with other humans about things. All online games will have voice chat. Stick to single player noob.
