Why there's SO MANY WW2 video games for the PS3?

Ok COD1-3 is WW2 game. And now COD5 goes back to WW2...again? Brothers in Arms 1-2 is WW2 game. MOH for the Wii is damn WW2 game. Dude I'm so tired fighting the nazis & is fun to kill nazis but, I want to fight new enemies & something different. Like Napoleon,Civil War,Spanish-American War,Cold War,Vietnam War & Desert Storm!!! Do you agree?

Because the Second World War was a World War - the Napoleonic Wars were limited in area and influence. The Civil War brings negative emotion with it (is our disgrace and embarrassment war) and the Spanish-American War isn't at the top of the list when it comes to the wars in our history. The Vietnam War was a compromised "loss" and the war in Iraq is one that many Americans are "at war" with agreeing on. Remember - we had our ships bombed at Pearl Harbor and 2,400 Americans died (of a total population of 133bn) - 2,740 Americans died on 9-11 (total population 282bn). Instead of playing war games you should, perhaps, learn about the years leading up to WW2 from both the European and American perspective. You might consider reading some of the many biographies of Neville Chamberlain, Winston Churchill, Charles DeGaulle, Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Dwight Eisenhower, Benito Mussolini and Joseph Stalin. Wikipedia, probably, contains the speeches given before the Parliaments of the various countries as well as those to the nations. There's plenty to read, also, on the culture of Japan pre-1938. In a few years, you could be, very, knowledgeable on the subject of WW2 especially if you keep a notebook as you travel through the pages. The last book I did this with was the 1992 Truman Biography by David McCullough which won a Pulitzer. We who are Older still love the feel of the pages of a book - nothing more restful than reading and nodding off into a comfortable position. In front of the computer there are none of the lovely pages to touch and, when I nod off, I "Whack" the front of my forehead on the monitor!! I am saved by a book which is the diary of a Civil War Soldier's Wife.

You get a little fifa 09 and play that for awhile til you wanna kill some more nazis and buy the new WW2 game.

well then avoid them there are many great shooters not WW2 but they are prettty fun to play regardless
