I have an av cable from ps2 but it doesnt work on ps3, why?

The AV cable works...

the ps3 works i used it with HDMI lead and high def tv...

i wanted to use the ps3 on a small crap TV but the AV cable didn't work...



Any advice ?

The PS3 uses the same AV cable, the reason it isn't working is because the PS3 cannot automatically switch from HDMI to AV. When you start up the system with the AV cables plugged in, hold down the power button for like five seconds. That resets the display settings and will allow you to use the AV cables.

ps3 uses a differentA/V cable. find the one that came with the ps3. the tv shouldnt have anything to do with the ps3 coming on...
