Havent updated PS3 in a while, what will happen when I do?

May be...
  • Because of where I live I don't have access to high speed internet. So no online for me until I get move into my new house in a few months (stupid builders!). Anyway, if I go to my friends house and update, will I have to do EVERY update from the past few months one at a time? That's a penis in the face! It will take forever!

Also, is there any cool features (not just online) that I may be missing out on by having not updated in a while?

    Thanks!
  • DONT do the new update.

a MONSTER climbed out of my ps3 and TORE of my head.

and my mom popped it back on so i could type this message to warn you all
  • The last update will give you everything you need, so no need to d/l each one separately. This will tell you what each update does:

One of the most useful for me is the ability to view flash video on websites now. I now use Hulu.com to view tv shows, watch-movies.net to watch movies and I am catching up on my Heroes episodes at nbc.com. Plus you can view youtube, google video, aol video, etc.

Playstation Home open beta is also releasing today so that will be added. Hope this helps.
  • u most likely will have to down load the latest one u cant play the new games online till u do

the only new features now is that u can invite your friends while playing by pressing the PS3 button and u can also play music while u play

and in the coming weeks PS3 is finally getting the home network
  • 1 thing:

WAIT until tomorrow or late tonight as there is an update imminent,

this will add a lot of cool features including PlayStation home.

    =)
  • I just updated after about 6 months of not being connected. It was one long update, and then a restart. It wasn't a bunch of them one after another.
