If you have the chance to see the box, somewhere on it there should be a logo with A, B or C printed in the middle. A is for NTSC- America, B for PAL, and C for NTSC- Japan.

How can I tell the difference between the PS3 60gb NTSC and PAL systems?
May be...
I am trying to buy a used PS3 60gb NTSC system due to its backward compatibility with PS2 games. How can I tell the difference between the NTSC and PAL versions of the 60 gb PS3 system? If your talking about buying online, the seller should have told you in the description, if it's from a well know online store in the UK then it's probably PAL. You can always ask the seller to check.
