I was told that I could play ps1 games on my ps3, but they look horrible!?

May be...

I bought Resident Evil 1 & 2 after people on here told me my ps3 could play games. I have the 80gb with 4 usb ports. They're playing on there, but god do they look horrible. Everything is boxy looking. Even on my ps2 console. Will I have to get an original playstation for it to look any better. I don't remember these games looking so crappy on my playstation when I played them back then.

yep ps1 games will look terrible on ps2 and ps3....not a lot of difference on ps1 aswell after u play a game with good graphics. ps1 games look like crap on hdtvs its just polygons all over the place.

They might look a little better on the original hardware, but not much.



Games have changed a lot over the years, and if you haven't played earlier 3D games on the PS or N64 in a long time, you aren't going to be impressed by how they look.

It may be your disk or your scanner on your playstation, depends on how you treat them.
