Whats the difference between playstation 3 60 gb and 80 gb and does it matter really which one to get?

May be...
  • They don't make the 60 GB I heard (and that's the one I have FYI). There Is One And Only One Difference Between The 60 GB And The 80 GB And That Is That The 80 GB Has More Room For Demos, Pictures, Movies, Music You Name It.

Oh And The Guy Above Me Is Wrong Is Wound Be Better To Stick With X-Box
  • Which 80 gb? The new or the old?

The 60 gb has both the emotion engine (EE) and the PS2's GPU so it can play almost all PS2 games. It has 4 USB ports and 3 flash drives.

The new 80 gb doesn't have the EE or the PS2's GPU, so it can't play PS2 game disks. The new 80 gb only has 2 USB ports and no flash drives.

The old 80 gb doesn't have the EE but it does have the PS2's GPU so it can play most PS2 games via software emulation. It has 4 USB ports and 3 flash drives.
  • I prefer to repeat the grate answer of Mr.JFord on...the question :- "Which car is the Best ?!!!!?"

    Answer was :---"The New ONE!"

Always buy a new generation , newer model , which is PS3 -80gb is very OK. If you can afford 160GB even slightly better ( more memory for storage of everything) ...Bigger memory and you would not need a mem stick ets..
