You will not lose all online accounts or updates. Updates are stored on the very little internal memory the PS3 has for such use, and online accounts can be restored by logging back into them under the [PlayStation Network] tab of the XMB.

Will my playstation recover and be the same after i turned it off while it was on HDD?
May be...
I turned off my playstation while it was on HDD. I know that screwed it up a little but will it recover? what can i do to make it go back to normal? if i reboot it will it lose all the updates and online accounts? Yeah, it will recover, but maybe not until you reformat the HDD to remove any corrupted data.
