How do i hook up my ps3 to internet through a wired connection ?

May be...
  • i have ps3 40gb and i have AT&T internet service i tried everything so far i pluged the ethernet cable to the ps3 and to the back of my modem the IP adress succeds but the internet connections fails its says its a dns error everytime i called sony they couldnt help i even called motorola my modem company and they couldnt help either SO SOME PLEASE HELP dying to play online
  • if you constantly switch the modem between your pc, and your ps3, you have to reset your modem before using it each time. if not, it will retain the information and ip addresses for the previous system
  • Looks like you have conflicting IP addresses.

    You can change the IP address on your computer or PS3 and it should fix it.



    Or you could do this if you don't know how to change IP addresses.

    Hook up your box to a router. It doesn't matter which kind. The router will automatically give the internet devices specific IP addresses, you it shouldn't give you any problems. Good wired routers cost around $60, while good wireless routers would run you around $160.

  • its called a router buddy.. that will solve all ur problems!! with a wireless router you can have WiFi!!
