How is Playstation home?

May be...
  • I have a few questions.

1: Please give me a short review about Playstation Home

2: If i use a Playstation Network card, can i use the money to buy furniture?

3: Is it just a beta? are they going to be adding more and more?

    4: How is the custimization?

Sorry for all the questions, but please answer! As i will be getting my PS3 and COD WAW and HOME Tomorrow!!!
  • 1. Don't get excited for it. That's all I have to say. But it's hard to really review it considering that it's still only a beta, and the real version wont be out for awhile. But judging from the beta, it hasn't lived up to it's expectations. There are 3 main things that must happen to make HOME a great social networking service. Which are that follows:

    1. Entertainment

    2. The Social Networking

    3. Content

    1. Home is lacking in entertainment. When you first boot up the free service, you might spend sometime exploring HOME and discovering what it has to offer. But you will quickly find out that HOME really is lacking in the Entertainment Department. It has a few mini-games, but all are lacking in depth and really can't draw you in for multiple visits. HOME needs more entertainment, to keep wanting to boot up the service.

    2. Sony isn't much to blame on this downfall but the PS3 community needs to get headsets. The service wont fully take hold until people can actually talk to each other, instead of painfully typing on a virtual keyboard. PEOPLE! YOU MUST GET HEADSETS!

    3. There really isn't much content at all in HOME. Maybe because it's a beta, but the whole place seems really limited.

This was a short review, but I could go on and on about the problems of HOME. But don't lose Hope. Let's give Sony time to fix it!

    2. Yes you can, but I would advice not buying furniture but on some actual PSN games. You can purchase the items, in the mall stores in HOME.

    3. Yes it's a beta, no one knows what the full thing will look like or when it will be out.

    4. It's poor, real poor. My avatar looks NOTHING like me. Quite disappointed on this front. Very little clothing options and very little to work with for the face.

Hope to see you on PSN LEK! My PSN is b3y0nDl_g_nD. And I would definitely recommend MGS4 over COD WAW, but no pressure.
  • 1. It's alright, theres not a huge amount to do, so you'll need to make your own fun, be it chatting with random strangers, quincying, doing conga's, oh one of my mates built a bar out of her apartment's sofa's. though there is stuff like the Cinema ( currently showing trailers, but it's meant to have proper films there eventually), the bowling alley which has some fun arcades, i won an outfit once.

    2. I woudl assume so, though it's not worth buying much in Home.

    3. currently it's open Beta, so they will be adding more stuff (added the Red Bull island place today) as it get's to a complete version.

    4. clothes selection is slim on the round, but the actual body/face designer is on par with Oblivion and Fallout. it's a bit more technical than the Wii n 360's version, but these are photo realistic representation, not cartoon representations.

It's not a defeniteve PS3 feature but it's there and worth popping in and meeting new players, will be better when the matchmaking get's fully supported.

    Bring on tommorow!!
  • It's A LOT worse then my friends and I thought it would be. Maybe its just because its in the preliminary stages and hopefully they will add more and more but for now, its total bs. Customization of what your guy looks like is not that bad, but theres not a huge variety of clothes.

Once you get your ps3, you'll play home and think its pretty interesting. But after a bit you'll get so bored of it and continue to play better games like R2.
  • 1. if you like the sims......you'll like home.

    2. i would assume so....

    3. yes, it's still in beta stage

    4. the customization is pretty weak....like i said, it's still in beta stages.
  • it suxs. dont even take the time to download it. just play cod w@w. and read my message i sent you.
