How to connect ps3 to surround sound?
May be...
I have a samsung 7.1 surround sound system and i want to connect my ps3 to it but i cant figure it out because the system has like a million colored plugs and i dont know how to plug that in to the ps3. Use an digital opitical cord its purple and you plug it in the ps3 on the back. Oh, and bldscourge your answer is also the best lol but i could only pic one. Report Abuse You don't plug it into the PS3 you plug it into your tv depending on if you an SD or HDTV if it is SD hook the PS3 to the tv and then the surround sound system to the extra plug depending if it is in or out if it is out then plug it into the in on the surround sound system if it is in well you know if it is HDTV then plug it in my optical cable or by HDMI but not red yellow and whit because the quality will suck The best PS3 audio source I have used is getting an Optical cord. Using that and plugging it into a input in your surround sound that has an optical audio input will give you your true 7.1 (mine is 5.1)
Just dont forget to change the audio settings in the PS3 menu so the output is correct you cant
