What do I plug my ethernet cable into?

One side gets plugged into my PS3 but what do I plug the other end into? My modem?

just plug it directly into the modem. if you plug it in the router, you will have connection problems with other internet users.

You can either plug it into the router or switch you're using on your computer. Or you can just plug it directly into the back of your computer if you don't have a router or switch.

If you run it straight to your modem then you cant run a computer into it "Only one line is able to go into a modem"

Get a cheap wired router( Linksys makes a $40.00),
