Do i need surround sound?

May be...

for my ps3? i only play few hours everyday and so do i need a surround sound or will hdtv speakers be good enough? i have it in my bedroom and my room is medium size

If you can afford a good system without worrying about it or anything, then go for it! It'll make the experience better.



But you don't NEED it by any stretch of the word, and I wouldn't really recommend it unless you REALLY want it, since you're in a 'medium size' room.



If you were in a very large room, it might be different, but you're not, so... Yeah.



If you want it, you can afford it, and you think you'd really use it and all that, go for it! But if you don't need it or you can't afford a really solid system, then it's not really something I can recommend shelling out money on.



Your HDTV speakers should usually be more than enough- mine are for me, and I've got everything set up in a fairly large room.

Also, since you only play for a few hours every day, I really wouldn't recommend it, unless, again, you really want it and you have the cash on hand to shell out for a good one.



But if you're not playing it a whole bunch, it might not be the best thing to use your cash on.

Playing ps3 using surround sound really makes things intresting, on some games u can hear were the enemy is....like in MGS4. Get a decent power like 1000W home cinema system so when theres a bunch of u playing together, u can turn it up loud and sounds awesome when watching movies too.

NO, there is no point, only if you really want it and have the money, thats when you get it, but i really think there is no point.
