I am not a hater, I have all 3 systems but the PS3 controller is horrible compared to the 360 controller. All the guys at work have decided they need a ps3 rather than 360s so now i'm forced to deal with this funky controller i'm not used to.. I'm trying to play NBA 2K9 and it feels like a whole other game than the 360 version.
Any suggestions appreciated...
that only works if you have a wired 360 controller

Not all of these will have the motion sensing. But that's ok for most games. However if you get grabbed ahold of by a chimeran in Resistance, you will need the motion sensors cause you have to shake the controller to break free.
btw you are not supposed to "hold" the ps3 controllers. They aren't made to be gripped in the palms of your hands like an xbox controller, unless you are a little kid. What you're meant to do is let the arms of the controller rest on the last 2 or three fingers of each hand, and keep it in place with a slight amount of pressure from the top of the palm, that is, the inside of the knuckles, right where the fingers meet the hand. It shouldn't touch the palms at all. This gives the thumbs very good range of movement between the sticks and the buttons.
Or just get used to it. By the way, you can get shoulder clip-ons for the r1,r2,l1,l2 buttons on ebay- theses make the controller feel much better: bulkier and easier to hold.
xbox 360 controllers feel like holding a brick.
