I've had nothing but problems with my linksys wrt54g2 router, why me?

always loses connection, constantly having to do power cycles on the router or modem. i am starting to think it's not worth trying to play online. i have pretty good service10-15mps. downloads on the ps3 are slow as wet shiit coming out your azz. been a nightmare and making me regret every minute of this...



what to do?

Yeah...I had the same problem with my linksys. OK what you do is type in this code in the address bar, WITH your router attached to the computer, so you are getting LAN through the router.

Type in admin as the user name and admin as the password or another password you used. Go to the MTU size, change it to 1300 from 1500. 1300 is the min, it apparently makes ur internet faster. Go to wireless, then basic setup or something and change the name of ur network, password and stuff.



Then, hold the reset button (prolly on the back) for 30 seconds, after that take out the power cord for 10 seconds and then plug it back in.



Yeah whenever you get problems, just hold the reset buttons for 5 seconds or as long until it fixes.
