My PS3 wont read my Games?

May be...
  • I put the game in it wont load up or show thats theres any thing in there? WHAT HAPPEND AND HOW DO I FIX IT
  • i had the same problem. could be that the lens is dirty. it was weird. it would read some PS3 games and blue ray movies, but had no problem with standard DVDs. i did a yahoo search on how to disassemble a PS3 and there was a walk through on it. i took mine apart and cleaned out the unit, and also disassembled the blue ray drive and CAREFULLY took a q-tip and rubbing alcohol and cleaned off the lens. reassembled, works like a champ. make sure you have a can of compressed air too so that you can get all of the dust out of the inside of the housing and cooling area. dust is a killer on electronics. the longer dust sitting on electronics, the more heat builds up. heat=death to electrical components.
  • That happened to me with NBA LIve 09. It could be just some dirt or fingerprints. I would try wiping it off with a cloth or if you have spare change go to Gamestop and buy disc cleaner. I think they're only around 2$-5$. You can use for any other system so its worth it. Report Abuse
  • that happened to me too... i had to buy a new laser and replace it, the laser was 75 bucks and i changed it myself (youtube).
  • Try blowing in the bit on the PS3 where the games go in or maybe the disks are scratched
  • go buy a cleaner for it, and try that, if not take it 2 a repair shop laser could b broke
  • bring it to gamestop
  • discs are scratched or laser is broken. bit of shame because it will be costly to repair
