Playstation 3 Hard Drive Swap Question?

I'm about to buy a Hitachi Travelstar 5K250 250gb internal sata hard drive. i have a 60gb currently. i just did a little research and someone swapped the same one for a 40gb hdd an it did not work, has anyone else got this hdd and it worked.

There's no reason why it shouldn't work unless the hardware itself is broken. Just make sure you actually remember to format it because new hard drives come unformatted.

it should as long as it's a SATA drive same as what came out I know of people with 500GB drives that work fine
