Can you play ps2 games on ps3?
May be...
i have the new 80gb ps3 and i was wondering if i could play my old ps2 games on it.why not stop being a lazy **** and try it out yourself...and by the way yes you can you can play PS2 games on the 20G 80 G and the new one thats like 100 somthingUnfortunately, the 80GB version of the PS3 isn't fully backward compatible. It can play Blu-Ray discs and PS1 games only.
If you have purchased the 40 GB model, then you can play the PS2 games on it.Yes of course you can. Although some of the graphics may be a a little messed up on some of them. I know that when I play Backyard Baseball for PS2 on my PS3 some of the graphics suck but it still works and functions the same.
Hope this helps.it depends on what Model of ps3 you get.
i dont know much about the models of Ps3's, but it will be worth searching
"ps3 models" in google.
good luck!
"edit" i do know that some earlier Ps3 models can run Ps2 games.the new models cant play ps2 and ps1 games but the old 60 gig can but in ur case No, u cant play ps2 and ps1 on the 80 gig unless u got the old 80 gig that could play those gamesNo, your new 80 GB PS3 will not play your PS2 games.
It will play most PS1 games.yes it plays it also ps1 gamesyes
