Ps3 controller problem?

May be...
  • i have a dual shock 3 ps3 controller that isn't working. it doesn't turn on. when i connect the USB cable, the red lights start flashing slowly but nothing happens. what is wrong with it? i don't have the receipt so im guessing warranty wont help, should i open it?
  • Ok first of all DONT open it...that will completeley void the warranty. so first try again a couple times and try syncing the controller back to your ps3...still doesnt work?? then call sony support and ask if they could replace it, cuz they dont always need the reciept, just the serial number on your ps3... now if they cant fix it, then you might have to look online for a way to ix it and do it yourself, but this will void your warranty, so think of it as an extreme

    Best of luck!
  • Can you press the PS button on the controller while it is connected to the PS3 and get it to work? If so, it sounds like the battery is dead. Leave it plugged into the PS3 with the power on for at least an hour and then disconnect it and press the PS3 button.
  • Prime Risk is right the controller's battery is more than likely dead connect the USB into one of the ports and connect the other side of the charger to the controller and leave it charging for about an hour
