ok this is probably the last time i will ever ask the same question again so i want to connect my ps3 to a lcd monitor that only has vga port. i was wondering if this cable

Yes...if you don't care about the graphics as you say, it will work. That cable uses the A/V port connector on the PS3 which is analog and one of the connectors is definately a D-sub connector (a.k.a. VGA)...so it'll work.

it will not work because to experinnce the true sound and picture of the ps 3 you will have to get an hdmi cable then you will be all set to experince true beauty and pleasure
