Will GT5 have damage?

May be...
  • They say it's a driving sim - what's the driving sim with no damage? Will GT5 have damage?
  • Nobody really knows if the game will have full damage or not. The only sort of damage we saw in the E3 video was the WRX Rally Car. Nowhere else.

The only thing you can do is wait.

As for your views on the driving sim, Gran Turismo has always been about the cars, detail, and racing concepts. Even though you can't damage your car, its still the most realistic racing game you'll find without actually driving a car. I bet you've never used a Logitech Driving Force Pro with Sparco racing seat in your living room with a Gran Turismo game.
  • They are trying to get all the manufacturers to allow damage in the game, but when you have over 700 cars it is quite difficult to chase up all of those manufacturers to allow their cars smashed to pieces (they think it might hamper sales or something).

The possibility is that some cars wont have damage and some will, and possibly future patches will give other cars damage aswell, but I can assume that most if not all the cars will be destructible by the time the final game rolls around.
  • Well, by the looks of the trailer, yes, GT5 will finally have damage... But, there's a catch, judging only by the trailer we only have seen that Nascar and the WRC series have accumulated damageable cars. I'm pretty sure that Kazunori (creator of GT series) has a couple more trailers coming our way, that are yet to come. All we have to do is sit back, wait, and enjoy what ever Polyphony Digital has in store for us. =]
  • yes

have u seen the trailer the cars have half hanging bumpers and bent engine bonnets

its gonna be first gt with damage

and it looks like really realistic damage from the vid
  • Yup its been mentioned a couple of times and in the trailers you can see damage on the cars.
  • Yes..it's all bout the dmage
