I'm skeptical of any price drop unless Sony confirms it, but I don't see them giving a $100 drop right away if they do a drop. It makes more sense to drop it $50 now and if that doesn't help maybe another $50 after a year or so down the road.



Don't buy into the "$100 drop in August" rumor cuz that's a bunch of BS. Two analysts have been talking about the future of the PS3 hardware. The more credible one (predicted last year's 360 price drop and the existence of the PSP Go), who seems to have a "mole" inside Sony, said that the PS3 still won't be priced that low at the end of the year and the Slim will still hold a $400 tag as a replacement to the 80 GB core.



I'm still skeptical of all this, though. The Slim hasn't even been confirmed and Sony hasn't confirmed anything.



Games? Killzone 2, Grand Theft Auto IV, Metal Gear Solid 4, Fallout 3, Little Big Planet, Resistance 2, to name a few.

Well you certainly have high hopes. The PS3 is rumored to drop 100 dollars in August. It won't be 299 for a couple years here. The best games are assassin's creed, gta IV, Far Cry 2
