How much does a ps3 cost? will they lower the price by christmas?

May be...
  • what's the cheapest price i can get a ps3 for? will they lower the price around christmas time?
  • The best place i know to buy a system is Costco(the only problem is you have to have a membership there), they are a little bit expensive but a get more stuff, theres one bundle they sell that comes with a 160 gb ps3, uncharted; drakes fortune, a remote, and an extra controller(2 controllers total)(http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.asp… and the reason why costco is the best to buy from even though there a little bit expensive is there warranty when i bought my 360, there, they said if anything goes wrong with it just bring it back and they will give me a full refund, of course ijust used the refund to buy a another 360 Apparently what i read from several articles sony will reveal the ps3 slim at a major press conference at the end of the month. The best time to by a ps3 is holiday season if you can find one(black friday), another great time is right after Christmas they usually put a lot of stuff on sale then, at what ever they have left over from the holiday season. but i think personal the best time would be between, when they announce the ps3 slim, and the release date, this is when a lot of stores are going to put the ps3 on sale to make room for the ps3 slim, oh and also there will be a price drop for the ps3 either when the ps3 slim comes out or a holiday seasons, in one of the articles they said the ps3 slim would be 299.99
  • If you want to get a new PS3, it won't be cheap. $399 and $499 are the retail prices. Online prices won't be much less than that regardless of model. In many cases, it will be more than retail prices.

If you want to get a used PS3, you'll have to pay at least $200. Prices can vary greatly as used usually means there are extra things included.

Like I said before, nobody knows for sure what the future is of PS3 prices, let alone at Christmas. Everything you hear about the subject is speculation. Personally, I think Sony or store retailers are more likely to make a special bundle so Christmas shoppers won't have to buy a bunch of separate PS3 stuff, versus dropping the price entirely.
