PS3 - can someone please explain wot the NAT is?

There are 3 types.

NAT 1 is basically a direct connection to the internet, most likely through a modem. No firewall or any other objects.

NAT 2, refers to connections with usually a router but again no firewall. NAT 3 is a quite restricted in that you are behinda a router and firewall with most ports closed.



Google "PS3 NAT Guide" for more help on improving it. Usually NAT type 1 and 2 is fine!

Go to Network Settings and do the Internet Connection Test. It will tell you what your NAT Type is.



Type 1 and Type 2 are good.

Type 3 is bad.
