Uploading pictures from Digital Camera to PS3?

When I connect my Digital camera to my PS3, it says unknown USB detected and can't copy pictures--what am I doing wrong? BTW, I am a new owner

The 1st answerer is right, but I want to add:



If your PS3 has an SD Card Reader, then just take out the SD Card from your camera (with the pictures inside) and put it in the SD Card slot.



If your PS3 doesn't have an SD Card Reader, I suggest you get this:

It gives you 2 additional USB ports along with an SD/Mini SD Card Reader and a Memory Stick Pro Reader.

You can't connect any harddrive (including digital cameras) via the usb on a PS3. only flash drives via usb....
