What do you think of the new PS3 motion sensing controller?

Do you think its a rip of the wii?

Well, it was actually being developed before the wii. The manufacturer had a protoype of it he made for the Eyetoy on the ps2 (it looked a lot like the current one, except the ball on the tip was way bigger). He showed the video on the internet. So they thought of motion sensing before the wii did.



And this is motion capture. The wii just senses which way the controller is pointing - and it's innacurate. This can sense every movement, even twisting in place, and forward/backwards movement.



The wii never succeeded in using the motion sensing as a main control option in games. Most games were just controlled with buttons and the motion thing was used in minigames.



This looks as if it can be used very well. A first-person shooter can be precisely controlled 100% with arm movemnt, a trigger, and an analog stick for character movment.

Waste of money on Sony.

I think they should just keep on expanding on the Playstation 3 (and PSP for you PSP gamers), rather than doing something similar (and improving) on what Wii does already.

kind of. they did what nintendo was too stupid to think of. the motion controller is more inuvative and has better tracking than the wii

well it seems like it but it looks like it has more features and "supposibly" was designed before (I dont think so)

I'm looking forward to a possible Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 game or even God of War 3 for this.
