Will Playstation 3 be 'on sale' for Christmas?

No. Unfortunately, when the PS3's were first sold, they were sold cheaper than what they cost to build. Sony is finally starting to earn some money back now that the cost of building the PS3 has gone down, so it is HIGHLY UNLIKELY that the price will drop. Sorry!

unfortunately no it doesn't seam like it but they did just release a 160gb ps3 for 500 (but who cares!... well not me) but i read a rumor that sony might just possible be releasing a 40gb model for 300 at the end of january (so if you got an 80gb for 400 then you won't lose any thing because the price would not change for the 80gb) im holding my self back for going and getting a 80gb for 400 because with a 40gb ps3 ill just replace the hdd for a 160gb or 320gb so for 370 ($70=hdd)i get a 160gb ps3 instead of $500 or for 400 ($100=hdd) i get a 320gb ps3 but if you really want one just go get it! If theres no 40gb $300 ps3 by the middle of February im just going to go get one. i might cave in a get one now! but then again i dont think sony will be able to pull the 40gb $300 ps3 off unless the sell a huge amount a ps3's this x-mas. I Guess there hoping for the 160gb ps3 to kill the 120gb 360 this x-mas. also ps3 sony is Quality and 360 is a peace of junk it "looks" like to me but still a respectable game Consul also i want to play ps3 :(

try going to the store on black friday. they always have the strongest and best deals on black friday because that day marks the beginning of the shopping season. so just wait a little more! good luck!

just get one now since sony already said that they're not going to drop the price for a while because they need to start making some profit out of the ps3

If someone has an open wireless network you can easily connect and play online. The only problem is signal strength. For the internet to work well, you're going to need to be really close, or hope that they have a super good router.

If its an unsecured network, then yeah just scan and connect, if its passworded, you can try guessing it, or brute forcing it (google). Otherwise, just go buy a cheap $30 wireless router.

even if you did hack it the signal would be very weak causing problems in your online play

My id is Jesse89202. I just got PS3 this week and I'm trying to familiarize the system to myself (there's lots to know. settings etc.) It's not as easy as Xbox360 though... As for playstation I have ps1, 2 now 3. Just add me, all I have right now is Silent Hill 5 (yep, I'm a fan of horror.) It's not online, but I will get Soul Calibur 5 later for online multiplayer fun.



If you recommend any other games that are online (which I don't have, please mention it.) Thanks for your time.

First of all I don't recommend Soul Calibur 4, i rented it and got bored after about an hour as gameplay got dull. Try COD4 or COD5 (both are great online games but you'll find more unexperienced people in COD5 as it's newer). Also Warhawk is a bargain on the PSN, and it's completely online.

Another awesome game is Fallout 3, but it's not online.

you should get grand theft auto 4 great online gameplay. also you should get metal gear solid 4...

Ps3 wireless controller problem.. help!?

When I play ps3 today, the wireless controller can not detected , I have to plug in the control wire cord to be detected.. whats going on? anyone has this problem?

1. Leave it connected via the USB cable for 5 hours to charge it up.

Does anyone know how to home fix a Sony PS3 that won't tun on and has a blinking red light? (My warranty has gone out) :(

well ya theres probly something wrong that broke or something you should go to geek squad they are at best buy stores and u can pay them to fix it instead of losing all your memory and buying a new one but something probaly snapped or broke and you wont be able to fix it yourself

I bought it and was working ok for 1 month,and occasionally it would freeze,and had to be restarted..but one day it just failed almost everytime I turned it on..i checked the cables,even replaced the usb for the controller, i tried a different game,nothing helped...could've been a virus in a preowned cd(game) infected the hard disk?...

i dont think there couldve been a virus in a used game, but you never know. call sony and tell them your problem. your ps3 has a one year warranty on it, you will probably have to send it into them so they can fix it. it takes like 3-4 weeks for them to get it done. i had to send mine in. there number's 18003457669 in the U.S. if they cant fix it then they send you a refurbished one

Is ur system update this usually happen if the system is not updated u should have update 2.52 on ur system. If u have the update u should check the ventilation of the system make sure its dust free use a vacuum and and suck the dust out, also make sure ur system is not enclose in a compact area it should be in an open area so it can stay cool.
