Any body know of a good t.v to connect with my ps3 that is inexpensive?

May be...
  • If you want total size domination, go with a DLP set. You'll get a 55" 1080p for like $800 on sale. The only down side is that it does consume a bit of space, unlike plasmas and LCDs.

You can probably find an LCD 32" (720p) for about $600 on sale.

Go with the big named brands, Sony, Panasonic, Samsung and you should be good. Avoid Akai, Scott, Insignia [carried in Best Buy] and the other re-brands. The price is better, but you don't really know what's inside.
  • DLP lamps go bad after about 8,000 hours. Even if you watch TV 8 hours a day, it will last 1000 days or approximately 3 years. It will probably last for 5 years. Then the bulbs are like $300, which isn't too bad considering the price of repairs for LCD and Plasma sets if they break. Report It
  • i use a sony bravia v3000 it has 3 HDMI ports for 1080p!
  • make sure you use a HDMI set. you can't upconvert over component for commercial dvds. blu ray is fine with component.

get a set that can do 720p and 1080i. 1080p isn't necessary unless your close to the tv or using it as a monitor too.

I think a good bang for the buck is westinghouse or vizio. depends on what size but DLP are cheap for the size. But from what I've seen LCDs are sharper and brighter and have a better viewing angle. Plus you don't have to worry about replacing lamps
