Help my ps2 will not read ANY discs.?

May be...

My ps2 will spin the disc but it will not read the disc.

ummm this is kinda stupid what i am about to say but anyways....one time mine has done that but everything wasnt plugged in but it look liked it...just push in everycord there is. : )

Maybe the lense went out or its really dirty? It could be a number of things. Take it back to wherever you got it if it has a warranty, or if its so old that it dosen't have one anymore maybe its time to invest in a new system.

it is the lens, it is scratched, costs more than the ps2 to fix

take a tissue and put a dab of alcohol on it , clean the cd, clean the lens, if that doesnt work seek mechanical help.

Send it back, if you didnt do anything to it and its not your fault, providing you have a guarantee or a warranty, they should replace it.

does it say disc read error? or does it just not work? if it's a ps1 game or a purple/blue ps2 game u could try putting tape around the disc like this..."On the top of the game, place a one inch piece of scotch tape right next to the center hole, with the hole lined up in the center of the piece of tape. Place another piece of one inch tape on the opposite side from the first piece, right next to the hole. (Parallel to each other). You want to have the tape right up next to the hole, but not hanging over."



Or try putting your PS2 vertically or even upside down...it doesnt hurt to try. if worst comes to worst you can buy a new ps2 SLIM for $130...

you need a mad chip to bypess the lens reader chip thats all i can tell try to fig out the rest
