No you can not. Sony purposely programmed an error into the boot area of the games. Computers will not copy an error. Your game will not play without this error signal. The mod chip emulates this code and allows the copied games to play.

yeah ...add a mood chip..it will improve your mood and u wont feel sad, cause u CANT play copied games without any one of swap magic or a MOD chip....haha...sorry to say, no u cant...

You can't play back-up games without the chip.
