Difference between Playstation 2 black and silver console?

May be...

Buying one for my son. Silver seems a few bucks more. Any difference? Silver looks a little thinner.

There is not a major difference

the silver one can play older games and the colored game disc as the black one might not as well

im pretty sure there isnt any difference i have both

Get the silver one.

You can get them both thin but personnaly silver looks alot nicer and black doesn't make the PS2 look very nice.

the silver is better cuz its they have made it with better things and better for the more scratched up disks but its the same as the black if not better so go with the silver

there's no diffrence at all exept the color just buy the black one.
