How long PS3 will last?

before PS4 is in development? I bought my ps2 like a year before PS3 shipped :<

The PS2 lasted from release date until now. I know lots of people who have there PS2 running all day and have had it since release date. The PS3 will last when the PS4 comes out and much longer, as long as you dont abuse the system. The PS3 is an extremely reliable system with a very low failure rate (1.2%)

PS3 is said to have a length time of 10 years. So since it was released 2006, it will probably go until 2016.

but a year before the PS3 came out..........we knew it would be coming out.

I bought a used PS2 after mine stopped working because i knew the PS3 would be coming out.



so just don't buy another PS3 without researching when the PS4 will come out

The ps3 has the technology to go 10 years into the future. They are just barley tapping the ability of it while 360 will fall behind because they are at their peek of graphics and cell processing.

dude sony makes solid prducts unlike that shitty microsoft. i dont know how long they last, but lets look at it this way. I have had an orignial playstation and it still works. I bought a ps2 right ewhen it came out and i just played god of war 2 last night!!! Sonys **** last!!!! My buddys x box just cut out last week and he had had it for only a year!!! **** X BOX!!!!!!

ps3 will last long, and i agree with the guy who says **** XBOX because XBOX's break down faster than the ps3. the 360 has a 30% return rate and the ps3 has a 2% return rate. that is a big difference

Sony does a great job with their console life, by far better than any other company. The PS4 will hit development by I'd say 2011 or so, hit shelves by 2013 or 14 but Sony will keep supporting the PS3 and releasing new games till 2016. I mean look at the PS2, one of the biggest games on the system, God of War 2, was released after the PS3, and games are still coming out. It was the same way for the PS1. Unlike Microsoft, Sony supports their old consoles and doesn't just drop them when the next gen comes up.

idk i hate sony anymore. the PS2 was excellent then the put down a load of crap on the PS3. yes it looks alot better but the games are just slowly decreasing. the online capability is also crap.
