Before i buy a PS3?

May be...
  • do you think it's a good time to buy, because at launch date i heard many ps3s broke down?

I'm going to buy the 80gb. thanks !!
  • You cant get the 80GB right now because it's not out on market until june. Unless of course you buy it online. If you can wait until june I forsure would, because when you buy it you get the 80GB a dual shock 3 controller and metal gear solid 4. And the PS3 is an extremely reliable system. The only problems are high accumilations of dust builds up in the system and over heats it. But this problem is very easily solved. Just maybe dust it off once or twice a week and you will be fine with no problems.
  • There different now have newer things in them.

Not as bad as Xbox's breaking down cousins on his 3rd one.
  • 7 questions in a row? Why not just post them all as one big question?

It's always a good time to buy. I have not had the slightest hint of a fault with my PS3, and I bought mine within a few weeks of launch day here in the UK.

Not that it matters, but my brother has been through three different 360's.
  • Then you heard wrong. Look man. The ps3 has a .5 chance of breaking. 360 has a 33% chance of breaking. It is so common they even have a name for it. The red ring of death!!!
  • Depends on what kind of console you want.

The failure rate is less than 1%!

Its a good time to buy when you bought a PS3 console that was discontinued e.g. 60GB mainly...
  • The rumors about PS3s failing at launch were all lies (probably made up by fanboys). The PS3 has a 0.02% failure rate.

Honestly I think you should wait for the MGS4 80gb bundle. It will have a Dual Shock 3 and MGS4. The new controller has rumble which is a big feature for some people. If you want rumble, but buy an 80gb now, you'll have to spend an extra $55 on a Dual Shock 3 controller (currently all bundles only have regular sixaxis').

If you can't wait that long, however (GTA is just around the corner), then yeah now is as good as any other time to buy.
  • I have not heard anything about a lot of launch PS3's breaking down because my 60GB PS3 is a Launch PS3 model that was manufactured in October 2006 and it's never broke down on me once and I've never had any problems with it.

The PS3's are very reliable, it's the Xbox 360's that have the high failure rate and break down easily, not the PS3, and that's a fact.
