Why don't they release another PS3 version in UK/Europe?

May be...
  • We've got the 40GB PS3 which is a nice entry level console. However thats the only choice we have! OK fair enough there was the 60GB a few months ago but nobody really knew that sony was serious about discontinuing it.

Is it too much to give UK/Europe a second choice like an 80GB PS3? We would have a choice between a standard and premium console. I mainly hope the 80GB comes because I want the features that the 40GB lacks e.g. Card Readers, BC etc.

It wasn't a mistake that the 40GB was released because it made sense making a console within a good price range, but I think it was crippling to let the 60GB PS3 go!

America will have a choice in the summer between 80GB MSG4 bundle and the 40GB PS3, same goes for Japan/Asia!

If they can't release another console can't they give us a choice of colours e.g. Ceramic White, Satan Siliver. I heard America has a choice of 2 colours and Japan/Asia has all 3!

Do you think more has 2 change in the European market. Better choice/deal??
  • Ok I don't want to get your hopes up just so they get crushed, so I'm going to make this clear: This is a rumor...that is all. It could be legit, or it could be BS. I'm not sure and neither is anyone else (except Sony, i guess). Europe MAY get the 80gb PS3 by Summer.

I definitley think Sony has to do something about Europe. There are tons of people that are waiting to buy a PS3 because they want the 80gb model. I don't really understand why they haven't released that model in Europe yet, but there must be some underlying reason that I just don't see. They could really boost their sales by releasing a new console, especially since MGS4 is on the horizon.

If not that, then they could at least give you exclusive colors like you mentioned. The US only has one color so far (although the MGS4 special edition bundle will come in gunmetal grey when it is released). They gotta give you something.
