My PS3 won't work on Standard TV but works on HD TV ???

My PS3 won't work on Standard TV but works on HD TV... I hold the power button for 5 - 10 sec and all I just get is the sound

When you hook it up to a standard tv, make sure it is off (the light will be red), then hold it down until the screen comes on.

on your ps3 turn off the back power switch....then turn it back on.....turn on your ps3 with the main ps3 switch in the front and hold it down until you here three beeps....it will turn off...then turn it on again
